Start to Finish
The print and packaging industry is a multifaceted process, involving numerous stages from initial concept to the final product.
1
Collaboration & Communication
Throughout this entire process, collaboration and communication between designers, manufacturers, and clients are key to creating a successful packaging solution that meets both aesthetic and functional goals.
2
Evaluating Key Factors
Choosing a printing process involves evaluating key factors such as material, quality, print run size, colour needs, prepress time, budget, and location.
3
Selecting a Printing Method
IPak utilizes various methods based on these considerations. Offset lithography is ideal for high-quality, large print runs on paper and board. Flexography suits flexible packaging like plastics and films. Gravure is used for high-volume, high-quality packaging, and letterpress is preferred for specialty raised ink prints. Screen printing works well for irregular surfaces and specialty materials, whereas digital printing is best for short runs and quick turnarounds.
4
Printing Across Materials
These processes enable IPak to print on paper, plastics, laminates, and metals efficiently.
